Black Metal won the Hip Hop Artist of the Year award at the just-ended Medimafo Western Music Awards 2025, a moment that highlights his steady rise in the music scene. He was nominated among heavyweights like Ayesem, Hyndu, Yaw Lucaz, and Bobo Dada Bee, clearly a category of equally great rappers.
Black Metal was also nominated in the Afro Pop Song of the Year category with the likes of DopeNation, Ayesem, Bobo Dada Bee, Amoako Belo, and Grozzy Swish with his hit record Akwaaba.
