Air Commodore Kwabena Kissiedu Atiemo has assumed command as the new Base Commander of Air Force Base Tamale following a formal handing-over ceremony held on Monday, 10 August 2026, at the base.
The ceremony marked the official transfer of leadership of Air Force Base Tamale and the additional role of 6 Garrison Commander to Air Commodore Atiemo.
He succeeds Air Commodore Nana Adu-Gyamfi, whose tenure as Base Commander and 6 Garrison Commander ended with the ceremony.
Air Commodore Atiemo’s assumption of office signals a new chapter for Air Force Base Tamale. The Ghana Air Force expects his leadership to consolidate professionalism, operational excellence, and effective command at the base.
