The project represents the 23rd teachers’ quarters initiative being undertaken across various towns and villages within the Gomoa West Constituency by Team Captaine Smart. It also underscores Team Captaine Smart’s unwavering dedication to prioritising the needs of the people ahead of seeking political power—an initiative that has been firmly implemented throughout the constituency.

Speaking at the colourful sod-cutting ceremony held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, Captaine Smart, as he is affectionately called, emphasised that the initiative is not merely about constructing buildings but seeks to provide decent accommodation to improve teacher retention and the teacher-to-pupil ratio in the larger constituency.

“It is about attracting and retaining dedicated educators, strengthening teaching and learning, and giving every child regardless of where they live a fair opportunity to receive quality education,” Smart emphasised.

In appreciation of the community’s support, Smart expressed his profound gratitude to Nananom, community leaders, and the people of Gomoa Wassa for their support, unity, dedication, and commitment to development.

“Together, we are building stronger communities and a brighter future for Gomoa West,” Captaine Smart assured them, promising not to take their steadfast support and trust in him for granted.

He revealed that all the necessary building materials iron rods, roofing sheets, cement, blocks, trips of sand and stones, paint, tiles, and the required wood to support the roofing of the facility are ready to be deployed.

The former Vice-President of the National House of Chiefs and Omanhene of the Abeadze Dominase Traditional Area, Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi, expressed his amazement at the kind of infrastructure projects being embarked upon by Captaine Smart and prayed for God’s and the ancestors’ blessings upon his efforts and for divine direction in his steps.

Similarly, the Omanhene of the Gomoa Assin Traditional Area, Obirifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobea II, thanked Captaine Smart for his commitment towards the holistic development of the entire Gomoa West Constituency. “I know and believe Nananom would pray for you. We thank you for what you have done and continue to do to improve the lot of Gomoa inhabitants,” he stated.
